Mission

My mission is to grant every child who comes to me with a functional means of communication and expression. I believe that every human has a special gift. My calling is to empower our children with the ability to recognize and harness their gifts and provide them with the ability to share their thoughts with the world.

Experience/Approach

Having over a decade of experience working with the pediatric population, I have had the joy of crafting and honing my skills to treat a variety of delays, disorders, and differences.

During my time at the University of Akron, I participated in a program which provided in-depth training / specialization in use of an auditory-verbal approach. This approach teaches children to use hearing technology to focus on developing listening skills and spoken language abilities.

Play is the work of children, which is why I implement the play-based approach to therapy to harness the child’s natural interests and provide individualized and contextualized treatment for optimal impact.

The team approach of incorporating parents, teachers, service providers, and caregivers into the therapy process is another crucial component of service delivery ensuring consistency and carryover.

    • pragmatic disorders
